for a long time, i ignored IQ statistical data in regard to how people think and respond. i felt it was judgemntal, and one dimensional.

i also didnt really understand that a decent working definition of IQ is a persons ability to hold multiple data points in their counciousness, see potential relationships between them, and weigh those potential relationships before drawing a conclusion.

i dont ignore this anymore. people are no less worthy of love and opportunity because of varying degrees of ability to see from multiple angles. but it is wise to remember these statistics when seeking understanding, and making decisions.

Have you read Taleb’s paper on how IQ is more of a test on unintelligence rather than intelligence? Psychologists who use the test properly also concur…

“properly”

I.E don’t whore themselves out to people who want to inflate their egos for solving puzzles. It’s used “properly” to measure learning deficiencies

says who

My wife, a psych doctorate candidate

also, for your interest: https://medium.com/incerto/iq-is-largely-a-pseudoscientific-swindle-f131c101ba39

not trying to be a dick, but beyond a minimum level of "intelligence" as measured by the test (around 100) it's pretty clear it doesn't really tell you much about a person

mmmm… millennial experts.

I’ll keep in mind for the future that you post your thoughts not for discussion but so people can marvel at your wisdom. Cheers dude
