You need permission to cut trees from the King's Forest.

Except I already paid for this property and paid taxes on this property and it's a burocrat who I'm begging permission from.

I should point out I'm not trying to cut down a endangered species like a mangrove.

I'm trying to cut down some stable palms. which are some of the most abundant trees in the state of Florida.

batonically speaking they aren't even a tree. Just a grass.

The irony here is that my city would also issue fines for not mowing my grass.

The arbitrary line they set is over 6' of clear trunk.

Pic for attention.

Hypothetically, would anyone notice if you just did it and didn't say anything?

Yes.

They made us get a tree survey for a building permit for our home renovation.

So now I need a letter from a certified arborist. For each tree. And in some cases, may need a separate permit to remove the tree. And that's if they even let us at all.

And according to the arborist, it has to either be a direct danger to the home or a sick tree.

My only recourse is to inject Targon into the trunk and then call the arborist back.

(They don't care they just need pictures to protect their certification.)

I mean yeah I'm no familiar with palm trees but what if some sort of animal or freak weather anomaly were to somehow dig/create a large hole one the windward side of the tree and it were to blow over (assuming as it looks in this pic to be not in danger of falling on anything) again not familiar with Palms or how noticeable this would be

looks like the middle of nowhere that's why I suggested it
