IMO don’t put European piano hammers on an American piano. For whatever reason, the partially rebuilt Ivers & Pond (Boston made 1904) I have came with Abel (German made) hammers and they sound way too thin and bright even after voicing. I’m putting Ronson (NY state) on ASAP.

Oh yeah, there are multiple options for string makers, hammer makers, wooden action part makers, soundboard/pinblock makers, etc.
