The final archvillain is not the boring one you assumed.

Instead, it's the one you knew from the beginning of the movie, that you kind of liked, because he was really good at getting your attention. But that turned bad and fraudulent retroactively the more you learn from him, and he grew bigger than any villain you could have anticipated.
