What is tailscale and how do you like nicehash
Today was an extremely busy but productive day. Project Roma is almost completed.
Here is what is accomplished:
1- Hardware selected and upgraded (Mac Minin 2012 with 1TB SSD and 16G Ram)
2- Headless server installed (Ubuntu)
3- Bitcoin Core installed
4- Electrum (Fulcrum) installed
5- LND installed
6- Thunderhub installed
7- Tailscale installed
8- Node connected to Zeus
Here is what is led to do
1- Fund my node with On-Chain liquidity (fees too high)
2- Open up channel with NiceHash to link to my miner
So far I have only published an article on nostr:npub1048qg5p6kfnpth2l98kq3dffg097tutm4npsz2exygx25ge2k9xqf5x3nf for point 1. I have however written step by step for Bitcoin Core and Electrum installation but I still need to format and publish.
This is taking forever but hopefully will be useful for others.
Discussion
Tailscale basically establishes private connections between your devices that are connected to it. So in my setup, I have Tailscale installed on my phone and on my node so I can directly and safely connect to it without having to be on the same network (WIFI)
NiceHash is really good. You can use HiveOS and mine to your NiceHash wallet and they let you withdraw via LN with no charge.
Okay cool thanks. I need to learn how to do that. I'm using Braiins for a novelty node/miner and may switch to solo mining it about to get an S9 and was trying to decide what pool to point it at
