It’s funny how some people react to this kind of thing

On the one hand: people are welcome to refuse, totally up to them to be part of a public debate

On the other: their decline of the invitation, or dodge you might say, says everything you really need to know

Saying al that, debates can be a waste of time, with the most vocal, argumentative, etc ruining it
