Posted this Open Letter two days ago on Twitter, but with the way things are going, who knows if my Twitter account will last or be taken down because I’m a rabble rouser. So I’m also posting it here. Anyway, this is my most recent Open Letter and it’s to the Governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey. As a Bitcoiner and node runner, I’m addressing him banker to banker.

SHADOWY SUPER BANKERS 😂😂

YES.

You knock it out of the park every single time, Cosmo.

I salivate at the sight of the words “open letter”.

A Pavlovian penman.

Thank you.

Oh man, BVM, thank you! I really enjoyed this one. Gotta give a big thanks to the other Andrew Bailey (the philosopher/Bitcoiner) for suggesting this one.

You know what? I had kind of a mental “sea change” listening to a Jeff Booth podcast about three months ago. Can’t remember which one (there are so many!). In it he was talking about the kind of engagement Bitcoiners have with legacy finance people and he was explaining that bitterness and vitriol is kind of an irrelevant response because they either just ignore Bitcoiners or dig in harder in their prejudices against us.

So since then I’ve been *trying* (not always succeeding) to be less caustic and more “bemused” in the tone in my letters. I also tried it with the letter to the New York Times that I wrote in May. I actually *feel* better in my heart (not so angsty) afterwards.

This is the way.

Nobody ever sold an idea with aggression—talking at someone.

I find asking “the interested normie” questions is the most effective method these days.

And yes, your ECB letter and this one carry a vastly different tone, I must say 😂

However, this one was cheeky, and I like it 💪

From one banker to another, I salute you. Hahaha

On another note, I fully intend to have a beer with you one day.

ONE DAY MFER!

It’s gonna happen.

Cheers.

Cold beverages and hot conversations = the best.

We will do it!
