Well, in the environment I’ve lived in, I think very few people actually know about Bitcoin.

It’s probably more like, “I’ve heard of it, but it’s for investment, so it has nothing to do with me.”

(People living in cities might be a bit more familiar with Bitcoin.)

If we’re talking about the cryptocurrency community, I think many people see Bitcoin as a speculative asset.

Also, even within the crypto community, the number of people who are Bitcoin-only is quite small.

As for me, I use Bitcoin more as money—for payments—so to be honest, I don’t want large price fluctuations.

But if I said something like that within the Japanese Bitcoin community, they might look at me strangely.

Bitcoin adoption is still a long way to go. For a stable economy like Japan, people have less incentive to look for a better form of money I guess.
