OnlyZaps is a cult.

Now don't get mad, I respect your right to be in whatever cult or religion you choose, follow who you want, and absolutely self determine. We all get into weird shit and end up in weird places.

But....the OnlyZaps phenomena is completely about limiting yourself to a particular mindset where you monetize everything. It's an ideology spearheaded by popular individuals, and their fans lead the charge chanting for their new way to be the only way. And when there's push back, they recant to "You have choices but you really should try it!"

Have you heard of our lord and savior OnlyZaps? The like button is the devil! It could be a bot! It could be manipulating youj into a fiat mindset! How dare numbers on a screen give you a perception of the reach of a particular note, numbers are always fake unless there are sats attached! In all thijngs we must be mindful of extremes. We've all survived shitty social media, let's not fall into the trap of overcorrection and alienate everyone who doesn't think like you. I'm 100% pro zap, without being anti-like. I don't wish to choose sides and fight stupid clique wars. I don't want tk live left VS right, stay in your box, here are my labels bullshit. Let's all let each other choose for once. And if you choose to not see or participate in likes, that's entirely your right.

I had to zap this…because I have no like button! Lol. I like how zapping feels substantive, but liking is approval and approval is certainly something important. I wish the zapping was integrated into Damus, the app switching causes me pause when expressing approval. I’m curious, do you have any tips for making spicy homemade bacon? I have a lot of pork, like thousands of pounds and need something good to do with it. Everyone loves habanero bacon!

What kind of pork do you have? Sounds awesome, but not all cuts are ideal for bacon. Traditional bacon is pork belly, though you can make similar cured/smoked from mother cuts.

We’re small scale pork producers so in short we have the whole hog! Right now we sell piglets, calves, goat kids, eggs, and that’s fine, but I’m interested in doing some farm to table meat and dairy products. The food supply has become so awful, I didn’t realize how wonderful pork chops can be until I butchered a pig, there is no comparison to what is on grocery shelves. I think it’s in the nuances, our pigs graze and forage, we lacto ferment their food and we’re starting to grow crops for the purpose of feeding them. This happy healthy life makes every part of the process better for all the organisms involved. The fat profiles change, it’s pretty amazing, and I’d like to share it with people, I’m just figuring out how. There is a lot of regulation that makes the food supply how and what it is, of course some of the protocols are legitimate and important for food safety, but pasteurization and homogenizing milk for example makes a wholesome microbiome feeding product into nothing but glucose water with some fat in it. You might as well drink a soda, and this modified food doesn’t induce satiety, so it leads to overconsumption. Anyway, I digress. 😏
