So, my Irish family ancestors - 400 odd years ago - was dispossed of their land, when the English ‘planted’ the area.

Pile of Rocks which was a castle, bearing my name, on the grounds of a 19th century manor house.

Now some sort of state park, wedding venue, after sitting abandonded for 40 years.

Had dinner there this summer, and while it was neat to comment on the irony of eating dinner in that home, my main thought was, ‘too bad the state owns this now’.

Bonus irony, the English Planter family name was ‘Clements’, which is in my maternal lineage about 2-3 generations ago.

Don’t hold grudges.

Stay humble, stack Sats.
