nostr:npub150llvgcq7updygukq678r28asljhu3pau8t258z6su4dq0cu66jqd5r96e They did. I'm not sure when or why, and I've never really asked. I think it might be because we moved to a new seed church (being a part of a new Catholic church in the 80s was also a wild thing) and they didn't have that group.

It is also likely my dad got weirded out after a while and didn't want o deal with the people if they got culty. That would have been on brand.

These groups are very much still around and very active in their communities. Just like the hippie movement though they grew up, had kids, and the kids moved on.
