If you threaten the average person with jail for participation, the unfortunate reality is most people will willingly opt out. I fucking hate the state, but I'm not at the point yet where I would give my life to fight them on this. Not unless there were millions of people to do the same.

Yeah and I think unlike gold back in the day there are records that could be turned up for 99.9% of people’s bitcoin purchases. That’s why the political side of bitcoin is so important.

Even if you buy gold today, it all goes on the record. They would know exactly which doors to knock on, and how much gold to expect.
