Political rant. Warning.

Here's an unpopular opinion. All politics are of course trash, but i think a Trump second term will be especially disastrous for the country. The vitriol between parties will be at all time high - violence is almost a guarantee. Trump has been right on a lot of stuff but also disastrously wrong in the face of hard evidence like the vaccines. End of the day though it doesn't really matter if he isn't pro-bitcoin he's anti-bitcoin. He's a non-viable candidate from that single perspective. We don't need another octogenarian in office who has an ego bigger than the whitehouse itself.

Vivek is really the only candidate for me right now.

Even more unpopular opinion:

The best possible candidate and government for Bitcoin are a Biden-led executive and a Democrat-controlled legislative.

Note that what's best for Bitcoin and humanity may not be best for the US and its citizens.

Well, as a foreigner and non-US resident, Trump was the greatest POTUS in living memory. So from that point of view, I'd like to see him elected (since none of the other potentially good candidates are viable).

He was even good for Bitcoin, with his constant pressure to print more, enormous spending deficit, and so on. But I think if one is short USD, as all bitcoiners are, Biden and the Dems are a much safer bet.
