No. What the antagonist does in the story is pretty sick. And the antagonist doesn't know the protag's personally, so it would be hard for him to approve of their past actions.

The antag *would* have approved of Evan when he was an obedient enforcer of laws that (in his view) kept androids (including Evan himself) in their place. He also would have approved of Carter's pre-story antagonism towards androids
