You probably don't want to hear this, but with every gun and every holster, you're going to need to adjust your clothing.

My EDC is a appendix carry holster, g43 with 2 stock mags. 20 rounds are good enough.

Subcompacts are pain to shoot, but hey, if you're gonna need it it's going to be for 2m range anyway. Get a training.

If I go to some really unsafe place, I take appendix holster, full size gun (doesn't really care which one, I have multiple) and 3 mags.

And again, practice draws, shots, reloads, re-holstering (you want to hide the weapon quickly so you're not getting shot by police if they show upnat all).

Your gun is only as good as you can run it.
