The river cave is thought to be at least 3 million years old.
It measures more than three miles long, and at its largest, the cave is more than 650 feet tall, and almost 500 feet wide.

i live in #madeira and everything around here is amazing... the best thing about this place is seeing how all this landform even happens, you can look at these cliffs and rocks and collapsing steep hills, and see the giant chunks of granite and basalt and the sand stone and the other sedimentary rocks with litle rocks poking out of it, and the rain washing away the sedimentation and stuff falling out and shit
this structure in this post is amazing though, i mean, masive amounts of rock there, gigatons of volcanic, solid stone that has stood while all the gaps and crannies washed away and such a large scale
