I'm guilty of this. It's hard to break a 30 year habit when you know where everything is and how to troubleshoot effectively.

I love the idea of Linux but the learning curve was steep and I stopped trying. I need to do better.

Are there any Linux distros that mimic Windows UI? 😅

Ubuntu Lol

That's exactly what I tried. I like it in theory, but it was an exercise in frustration.

I am using Fedora, very easy to set-up and there is a range of Desktops you can choose from: https://www.fosslinux.com/49582/alternative-desktops-fedora-how-to-install-them.htm

I would say fedora is the best starting place these days. Super stable and rolling release so stays updated enough without breaking. For a spin of Fedora geared towards gaming and media production, check out Nobara 👌🏼

Tha ks for all the replies and information, I will venture down the rabbit hole again 🫡

Thank you for the recommendation! I'll give this a chance and see what I can do with it's never too late to make better decisions.

I too get frustrated with Ubuntu 😅
