I think it will be. Bitcoin is only crazy volatile to the upside right now because it has so much adoption yet to go. As it reaches hyperbitcoinization, and therefore market saturation, the extreme outperformance of all other assets will subside.

Bitcoin will still gain purchasing power over time, but it will entirely be a function of increased productivity in all other goods and services, while Bitcoin's supply is fixed. People will invest in projects and companies that they believe will truly bring an outsized benefit to the world. It will be much harder to pick winners that will outpace the steady growth in purchasing power you can get from just holding Bitcoin, but it will be possible.

That said, I think the amount of money that is thrown at the stock market today is exceptionally overblown. People put their money there because they don't know of any other means of outpacing inflation and actually getting ahead. When Bitcoin is the standard, most of this use of investing to either gamble or as a savings vehicle will vanish. It will come back to its original purpose of helping the best ideas actually get built.

You d like to outperform BTC in value or spend for something you really urgently need

Well I hope that btc will wipe out investing from the face of the earth. I mean isn’t one of its main benefit, that you don’t have to stress about investing your money because it does not lose value over time?

When I see the whole investing/stock ecosystem I always think “boy this economy thing really got out of control, look at all the crazy shit we need to do just because we use shitty money”

Not sure if it’ll happen (some ppl love to gamble and chase a big win and will always do that) and also not sure how the present investment ecosystem can be wiped out in a progressive way that doesn’t destabilize too much jobs.
