How did the scald/scrape go?

Very good. I’m using a professional slaughterer for now, and he scalds one in maybe 20 minutes

So you're not using the bathtub to scold?

Yes, we use it to do the main scolding with the showel. Then we put it up on a pallet to finish it. Then hang it for burning off som hairs and get the offals out.
