it's become harder to p2p buy bitcoin in China bc the custodians like WeChat Pay and Alipay get more strictly censor likely crypto trades
Discussion
have you looked at bisq?
not working. no-kyc p2p ways like robosats and bisq are not working since a) there are no user base b) payments thru bank transfer/WeChat/Alipay still get censored.
What about tools like Bisq or nostr:npub1p2psats79rypr8lpnl9t5qdekfp700x660qsgw284xvq4s09lqrqqk3m82
yeah in any p2p way but WeChat & Alipay & Bank transfer censors likely crypto trades between individuals.
That enshittification will arrive everywhere
Maybe it's possible to buy amazon (or Chinese equivalent) gift cards in supermarket and sell them for sats online on a p2p exchange
a better way, but very little user base because a) Tor traffic been blocked b) Chinese not accustomed to non-kyc trades and fraud is too easy.
there's a dead loop here, lack of trust --> KYC --> centralization --> less trust between plebs --> more centralization.
I'd like to see a nostr based p2p exchange.
how do they know what the payment is for?
people most probably trade on KYC exchanges like binance and okx, (i know it's awful) there are only 3 options for the payment, bank transfer, WeChat Pay and Alipay, all with in fiat.
I think I missed your question.
*they* monitor individual tractions in real time. once a whale selling Bitcoin get a big influx in their account, they simply suspend the flow for the "security" reasons.
