I'm surprised my wife hasn't done this. We have just about every other plant possible.

It's so easy! You just have to put the seed half in water for like 4/5 months (for my experience) until it start breaking and the first root goes outside.. after a week I put it in soil. It's long.. but easy and so worth, the green is astonishing!
