I'm aware that Nostr is not the best for privacy, but we have a lot of options for private communications. I'm concerned with having a public, free speech platform where information can reach a wide audience.

For example: A Hong Kong pro-democracy activist wants to publicly broadcast a political message that will not be blocked, censored, scrubbed... is Nostr a good option?

Yes #Nostr is a great option for this as the message can be published on relays all around the world. Impossible to take all these independet relays down.

It doesn't solve any problems for Pro-democracy people in HK.

They have no problem reaching a wide audience, their opinions have been widely propagated on all the big tech platforms and mainstream media.

Nostr has a very small audience in comparison.

But it does solve the problem of the western world being controlled by Facebook/Twitter/YouTube and being prohibited from having an open discussion about excess deaths from forced medical experiments etc.
