I don't think AI is really the problem here; the problem is people think AI can actually be like a living human to teach you things, thinking and adapting, and sharing from experience.

On the other hand, imagine teachers telling kids they need to learn arithmetic because they won't be able to keep calculators in their pockets?

There's an equilibrium to be found between seeking knowledge & asking for answers. In any case, it's best to use the most advanced tools you have.

In its current form, AI seems to be the embodiment of all human experience as recorded on the internet. This compression allows it to recall desired information at light speed. Why wait around for older peeps with poisoned minds to rattle off state propaganda? But I do worry big tech will enshittify it if we don’t somehow distribute the tech

So might possess knowledge, but does it possess wisdom? Soulless gen (isolated and asocial) will not know the difference.
