For this rug design, I drew inspiration from a pictorial rug from the Qajar era. In the original piece, Ahmad Shah, the last king of the Qajar dynasty, is shown at the center, surrounded by other kings and his officials. While I’m not sure if you’ve seen it, in my design, I aimed to highlight the importance of the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement and to honor the young women and men who lost their lives. I placed Mahsa Amini at the center, surrounded by those who were killed during this movement.
