I already explained the potential problem, which is likely due to how video was encoded and its compatibility with the Apple hardware decoder

I missing that thank you 🙏 🫡

How come I never had this problem in my first 200 days on Nostr?

People who encode the videos and post them inline (and the ones you download to post here) may have changed how they encode them, so that is “how” it can happen. Hence my early reply to you was, get them”from the source”

What does it mean to source? My sources are X, Telegram, YouTube, Reddit, the internet...

Source is the source material, the “master” files. Since you are not likely to have access to those, then the next best thing is to deal with what you get for free from them.

Exactly

The tool you are using to download from social media websites is corrupting the file

It corrupts 1 in 5 videos at random? The tool is https://savetwitter.net/fr

And other users who have the same problem use the same tool as me?

I have one last question, my friend nostr:npub137c5pd8gmhhe0njtsgwjgunc5xjr2vmzvglkgqs5sjeh972gqqxqjak37w

Why does the video run smoothly in my library when I download it... except on Nostr?

If the file is good upstream, wouldn't the problem come from Nostr? Shouldn't the correction come from there?

Knowing that if I publish the same video from my library on Telegram, X or anywhere else it will be fluid.

What is “my library”, what are you using to play them? Which OS and hardware. TG and X both transcode the videos, both are paid organizations with bunch of people and budgets, so can’t compare here.

Nostr is just a bunch of JSON (text) and has nothing to do with any sort of binary files. Also, Nostr has unreasonable standards for maintaining integrity of the uploaded media, disallowing media hosts to “fix” or “make smooth” your video even if we were swimming in cache and ads revenue to be able to do so

Sorry my friend, I'm not tech, I didn't have all these elements. Thanks a lot again

JSON is just a bunch of key/value pairs that serializes into Unicode text…

Unicode is just a lookup table to map characters to integers…

Integers are just patterns of bits…

Patterns of bits are just… 🤪
