Oh, I just meant that a lot of people in Central Europe are ethnic Eastern Europeans, like the Slavs, or lived near the border. We were in Eastern Europe a lot as children, and still remember it.
my friend in serbia in his childhood his father was a smuggler, bringing back clothing and other small items from the free world to sell to people in his town. there was a lot of transit the other direction too.
