You dont know the risk if a scammer tricks you in believing you zap the valid person.
I get it.
When I was a kid I used to send cash/checks in the mail to addresses I found in magazines selling vinyl records or other things. Then it would take 6-8 weeks to find out if I’d been ripped off. Most of the time I got what I ordered.
There always is a certain amount of risk in life. Idk. Just my opinion.
Those people are scum. Sad that you encountered those.
But we can migitate the risk... especially when we have this #Don't_trust_verify at our disposal. :)
