Tip for the day! Let's all keep Nostr magnetic 🧲 This is is easy. Stick to posting about positive stuff rather the negative. The number 1 thing that drew me to this platform is the positive environment. Trust me there is things that I don't like also, and I have strong opinions also. But some opinions are better kept to yourself if it doesn't serve the purpose of positivity. So I am urging everyone to keep this mindset to help grow this platform. 🌱💜🧡

Love you all, thanks for your help in spreading this much needed message!
Yes. Sticking with the positive and avoiding the thing where one trashes another thing… is key.
I fear this may be difficult within the culture at large here, as it seems almost customary to throw shade towards other technologies.
My hope is people can champion / profess what they love & why they love it without a holier-than-thou “my way is best your way sucks” vibe 🤞
Notice in my discourse here I don’t even mention the word b*tcoin(er) just knowing I’ll prob catch hell 😆
Anyway I hope it stays magnetic as you said. Great word btw. Perfect for onboarding. Magnetic 😊
Sticking to only positives is a hack, not a solution. The problem with our social media sphere is the inability to tackle important conversations (revolving also negative situations) without becoming toxic and tribal. I hope for a mature community where people is civil with each other independently of the topic discussed! 💚
Avoid that npub and you’ll feel much better.
It's not any npub in general, just what I've noticed in the last few days. It'd not about me either. I just want an environment that is going to be warm and welcoming to new people joining.
Loving all the comments of positivity, thanks all!

I'm on here and Mastodon. I know Mastodon isn't popular with Nostr "maxis" because instance runners have control, but I still like the Fediverse model for certain use cases.
I've seen Masto instances with this kind of atmosphere hit their "eternal September" and go through a huge culture shift when they got an influx of Twitter refugees. The good thing about the Fedi model vs Twitter is that if that happens on one instance it's easy enough to jump ship to another.
I fully expect the same eternal September to happen on Nostr :( however, by then I would hope we will have a mature ecosystem of paid relays, maybe even a bunch of niche/subject specific relays to make it easy for people to curate their feeds. Basically, choosing a relay is like choosing what pub to go to. Too many morons at the cheap Wetherspoons near the train station? Walk out and go to the little craft beer place down the alley instead :)
