146 years of print, just dead & gone. Since 1878 they have been printing papers every week.

Print is officially dead, how depressing.

The death of print, means the death of tangible news.

Everything can be meddled with online, and online archiving is risky. A travesty.

I feel the pain

The article says they will still be printing, but not locally as operations are outsourced. But still sad 😢

The last pony express rider just retired.

it's easy to print at scale these days. you can buy a laser engraver for 2k and engrave sheets of metal or even wood. i've been toying with the idea of creating paper that can withstand the laser heat and lightly imprint it. maybe through use of some filters or something...it's far from dead.
