The system is irrelevant.
How do we avoid the dictators?
This.
The best system isn't the one that gives the individual the most power. It's the one that best protects us from insane power grabs ruining all of us.
I have my ideas, other people have other ideas. But this is not about any system or changing things. It is clearly seeing what is happening, what reality emerges from the current ideas.
And to work within oneself to understand and see through it. Once we see, we are changed forever and what "system" is around us does not matter so much.
Well I agree there. I lost the political faith way back in 2011.
But I find it irresponsible to advocate dismantling a system without a plan for a better system.
I am not advocating for dismantling the system in the post. I'm advocating for being able to see through it on a personal level. And that creates a different approach, a different set of reactions and different relationship to the outside world.
