I haven't voted since going down the agorism rabbit hole, but I've been a registered libertarian since my early 20's.

How is it that two pro bitcoin US presidential canidates appeared on the What Bitcoin Did podcast and I couldn't even tell you who's running under the libertarian ticket?

Neither of them are running as libertarians last I checked.

That's what I'm saying. A decade ago, only libertarians and a few applied cryptographers were the only people into #bitcoin. Now It's going mainstream.

Ah gotcha. Sorry I’m overly literal sometimes.

I think there’s also an acceptance that the third party strategy doesn’t work. America’s electoral systems have effectively boxed them out.

The real winning strategy is to run as an insurgent in a major party. That’s what Trump did and Bernie tried to do. It’s kinda like the major party acts as a host for a parasite. Not a good connotation but that’s the best metaphor I have.

That makes sense, but politics in America no lo longer make sense to me.

The American dream is dead. Politics has become a pissing match between social issues and you're right, the third party strategy has not worked. So Americans are indoctrinated tonthink they can onlynchoose between two canidates from two anointed political parties that only agree on one thing: The Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Indeed. The illusion of choice.
