I don't see LN becoming far adopted imho. The Lightning network is interesting, but it is very complex right now - potentially too complex to the point where it will require abstraction offered by centralized platforms (which is what Alby and WoS do for instance). Having setup my own CLN, I got my hands pretty dirty. I like the idea behind it and the freedom that it offers - however, someone like Blizzard would want more control, and someone like an xQc or other "big normie streamer guy" wouldn't spend more than a few minutes with this stuff. Why do I point out a streamer? Those people, together with other types of influencers, can help adopt new tech like that quite a lot. So unless someone like them can understand it, its gonna be a bit more bumpy.

Just my two cents though - I could also be incredibly wrong x) The fact that companies were eager to join the NFT game when it was at it's highs proves that they'd be willing to join if there was something in it for them - for LN, it'd be transaction fees I suppose. So, who knows. ^^

I agree that LN is still a bit immature. It really doesn't matter that much if most channels are managed by well capitalized companies. They are just about perfect for bigger companies to buy as part of a bitcoin pivot.

Just as the mining hasn't fallen to centralisation, neither can LN. It's even less likely because of Bitcoin and it's strongly consistent, immutable ledger.

Nostr also shares a lot with LN in respect of being ripe to have specialists running relay networks and app services like CDNs and so forth.

LND autopilot is still in early phases, and idk what is CLN or LNDK doing about this, but it's easy to see that machine learning will probably be built for this task. It's not really a hard problem with enough data to train on.

Demand for LN support is rising fast. Finance has finally buckled, and coinbase is gonna get FOMO real soon.

We are only at the phase where there is now companies ready to be open to equity financing, and I'm sure the incoming bull market will help a lot of money get anchored in maar channels.
