Of course, the earth would regain equilibrium. The problem is the speed of climate change and there is a risk that several climate tipping points will soon be reached (including the thawing of permafrost, which releases methane, which is another accelerator) - with fatal consequences for many people around the world (floods, droughts, hunger). Strong migration movements are to be expected. Therefore, we should do everything we can to slow down the warming of the earth.
