Let's say some Ethereum heads built a decentralised, censorship resistant social media protocol. It's not on the blockchain or anything, they're just really into Ethereum. They post about the price of Ethereum all the time tho. 70% of users are called something or other dot Eth. They say Ethereum slogans a lot, like A LOT. Especially when the price of Ethereum goes up or down drastically.

Would you join? #asknostr 🤔

(This is fairly close to how outsiders see nostr imo).

I would join for the protocol’s core attributes (the same reasons I joined NOSTR) and engage largely outside of Ethereum. But would Ethereum heads really build one and would there be a CEO? Seems too paradoxical. But I agree NOSTR is very pro Bitcoin, but considering we have zaps, and how the protocol mirrors bitcoin’s core ethos, I can see why it is - they’re almost linked. And like Bitcoin, NOSTR is a journey of discovery, learning, growth and adoption. Will take some time for both to achieve mass adoption.
