I think the latest firmware "upgrade" which I did before initialization as recommended messed it up. It's specifically addresses the Bluetooth radio. When I began playing with it the radio and Bluetooth before firmware upgrade were detected as I remember.
Unfortunately I was not scientifically methodical I just wanted to get started. Several times after the firmware upgrade I was doing a factory reset and I just put my seed phrase back in instead of getting a new one over and over again.
The default 12 word I think is to make things easy but it seems to dumb down the process. I also didn't pay attention to the advanced means of copying the seed to QR which I assumed would be available after initialization. It's not.
I guess the good news is that if you want to change your key you can get easily do so. From my reset experience putting your old key back is easy but it would have been nice if I made the QR as that would speed up recovery.
The device is a standards compliant device and use with Sparrow is great. What I don't like is that Green software works better by not having TOR, and connecting to my Electrum server. That was causing the infinite time outs on Linux. I also had to put my user as part of USB groups in order to synchronize. It would be nice to have the gapless experience for desktop as well.
If Bluetooth doesn't work it still will do its job on Android by the gapless QR and USB C cord.
