"night sweats" is a serious symptom, part of the so called "b-symptoms". If there is a b-symptome one need to think about tuberculosis, AIDS, rheumatoligical diseases and yes - cancer. No serious doctor would tell a 27-years old to "just relax" when she reports "night sweats".
