I don't agree with Richard Dawkins on everything, but his concept of memetics was some brilliant stuff.

I was a big fan of Dawkins. I've read and studied him from A to Z while I was an atheist cunt. The meme thing is bullseye tho. The rest, meh...

I need to read more about memetics. I heard a little on Breedlove’s think boy podcast at some point. I think memetics explains the collective hallucination that humans have with irrational group think: statism, religion, modern medicine.

So about religion...

"One of the main functions of organized religion is to protect people against a direct experience of God"

-Jung

Maybe you've seen this over the internet. Let it sink in for a while.

I like Jung but I think that if God wanted us to have a direct experience with him, then he’d facilitate that. I agree religion isn’t the solution.

He does. He has. :)

Please let it sink in for a while. The point Jung was making there imo is that untrained people will go mad because of the direct link. Even Nietzsche went insane and he was a giant, let alone average Bob and Alice dipping their toes in mysticism and such.

We fucked up for sure, our esteemed colleague mentioned 3 things we put in our bodies... 🤭

I think if Nietzsche couldn’t do it, then it isn’t a practical link for humans but only for a select few. And that to me is a problem because that means god isn’t a fair divine being.

I don't see it that way. God is good and he loves us equally. This is impossible to comprehend for many. How can God love a murderer the same way as he loves me or a saint? This is a puzzle for the ages.

Nietzsche is entry level stuff, no offence. I love him like a brother, don't get me wrong. He kept going a decade more than any mortal could given his cards, timing and general context. May God bless his soul.

He going crazy 100% saved Jung from doing the same. Carl says this precisely and this is one of the reasons I admire him also, despite probably fucking some of his patients and selling himself to a very wealthy and influential family that most bitcoiners hate by default. It is not my place to judge, maybe I've got it all wrong entirely.

Regardless, I like to see the good part in people as much as I can. Shakespeare said it best: the whole world is a stage... :)
