I will laugh if #Meta announced #ActivityPub integration with #Instagram because #Pixelfed is growing in popularity.

And that scenario is actually plausible. They’d do it while Pixelfed is tiny in order to head off the threat.

Does Meta's Threads use ActivityPub? I remember they said they had plans to federate threads at some point, I don't know if they actually did. But you're right, adding ActivityPub integration with IG is totally plausible. Although, I hope they don't, please no

Threads has partial AP integration, though still has work to go.
