When I was a teenager I read endlessly and I truly read everything. Science books, science fiction, fantasy, romance, thrillers, historical novels, poetry, drama… the list could go on forever. But what I loved most, especially late at night, was to switch to something very light. Almost childlike. Those books were my way to keep life in balance.

Today I decided to reread one of those stories that, back in my teenage years, carried a kind of playful humour, the sort that instantly lifts your mood without you even noticing. And of course I ended up picking up several other books just like it. Light, easy, a little silly but somehow still speaking to me now.

Do you have a book that feels like an old friend?

Interesting, I don't think I have any like that. I have started reading later after college. Can you share several recommendations that are nice within their gendre? Currently I am going through stormlight archives 😅

Stormlight is a whole commitment 😄

Maybe try the Lux series, The Hunger Games or The Book Thief. No idea if they’re your vibe but at 15–16 they were my ultimate escape plan

Thanks! Will check them out.
