Cunningham's law, some people are going to try to prove me wrong, and I sincerely hope they can. I'd hope that's showing me users that don't just post dog-ass takes or have some delusionals about how BTC will save humanity, like I mean actually sane world views, not "I'm on Nostr, I can say anything" world views. Or better yet, things that actually contribute to society's wellbeing? Like actual uses for crypto (zaps seem kinda neat)? Or opinions that, uhhhh, don't implicate my death?
To clarify, are you hoping this post will affect an algorithm or are you hoping people will see it and connect with you?
As I understand it, Nostr doesn't have any algorithms, so that's not going to work.
If you are fishing for people, I stand by my first comment... Are you really looking for the angry sort of people who would respond positively to your initial comment?
Yeah, you do have a point there about attracting more angry people. That IS what been actively avoiding on Twitter lately. But, Nostr so far from what I've seen of it has entirely just been angry delusional shitheads, so I might as well try matching the energy (but not the sentiment) for a bit and see what happens.
But, no about the algo, I assumed most Nostr clients are chronological, so almost no one would actually see it, so far that seems to be true.
I get it, but I think Nostr has the potential to be what you make of it. You may have to stumble around a bit to find your group, but it's an open protocol, so like th world in general, you don't have the time or the temperament for most people on here.
That being said, try some #'s #grownostr is pretty general and positive from what I've seen. Weed through until you find some people you like.
