The setting in the Bitcoin Core node software is for the node wallet only. Were you using the core wallet or did you just use the node to broadcast the txn?

I thanks for the reply. I used the wallet in the node. I didn’t see any way to set rbf when I did it

walletrbf defaults to on. So unless you disabled it you should be able to bump.

Nope. It was off. I went and toggled it to on but still no rbf

So I saw in another note in this thread you used Sparrow? What electrum server are you connected to?

Electrum on my node

So your client wallet builds RBF into the txn then, not the node. That walletrbf setting is only for the node wallet in Bitcoin Core itself.

To clarify: using electrum on top of core and connecting to it from Sparrow means all your node is doing is broadcasting the transaction it receives.

Yes I got that part I think I may have confused you with what I was saying before so I resent what I meant

Yea I think I'm not exactly following the flow here

I sent you a dm

Yes that’s what I’m saying. I sent the transaction to my sparrow wallet from my node wallet. The transaction on meme pool has a red rbf tab. To also back this up I was saying that my sparrow wallet also said rbf not available

This is the setting we are talking about correct???
