I think my most controversial opinion on #bitcoin is that we wrongly conflate Self Custody and Decentralisation of the network as the same thing.

I did try and convince people of this at Cairns Bush Bash, but didn't find a good way in.

If anyone wants to argue this it may help me sharpen my sword.

That's cool. Sometimes I conflate the coin with the network and vice versa. I forget to capitalize it, or I capitalize it inappropriately. Controversial? 💯

In the end, the user's yet to come aboard mostly don't give a shit. So we can both forgive ourselves.
