If I don't grow any vegetables this year, I can grow knowledge for next year.
I noticed some squash, zucchini and pepper plants knock over in my garden this afternoon. It rained pretty hard, plus there were two ducks and a pond turtle running around in the garden. The roots seems very shallow. Any ideas?

Ha...great idea. But i was questioning shallow roots.
Oh. Is you soil compacted? You may need to break it up or amend it with something. Can you put tomato cages around things?
Maybe potassium deficiency in the soil causes poor root development. I was questioning low flower production as well...which if i remember correctly are both potassium deficiency issues.
