My next #prepping plan is to buy some 55 gallon water drums and a dehumidifier with a pump

Dehumidifiers produce clean, distilled water. But the buckets can contain bacteria, etc.

Of course I'll treat and filter the water so it's safe to drink, or just use it for the #garden

Free water and a dryer basement - two birds, one stone

I’d test the water to find out what’s in it, most filters don’t remove heavy metals. The quality of the water depends on the quality of the air. Stuff in the air lands on the cooling coils and the condensation pulls it off.

It’s a cool idea though! Just be sure you know what you have when you use it.
