Im pushing six years sir my kids laugh at my poor beaten down i7 core laptop....

LOL. I feel you. If you buy one with a higher end CPU, it should last a decade. I recommend AMD Ryzen chips, and also check out Linux instead. It's come a long way for desktops, Mint is really easy to setup. After like 25 years on Windows, I switch fully on all my desktops last year.

I work in Linux and I have a couple of flavors running ubuntu and some uncle grandpa version but I hear you, My kid seems happy with his Ryzen 5 or 7 cant remember, Truth, I should be using linux but I grew up on apple and cant shake windows 7/10. Problem is all Ryzen 5-7 come with win 11 now... So Im trying to stick win 1o long as I can.
