why is 20000+ pegged bitcoin LOCKED in binance n avalanche chain bridges ? - when centralized bridge breaks - those bitcoins cannot comeback to mainnet.

100% correct - burn / loss reduce from 21M max supply - So effective total bitcoin will NEVER be 21million for sure - but a bit less
