I wish you could be free

From the chains that drag you down

Of that suffocating sin

That claws behind your crown

I wish that you could have

The things that you deserve

A loving, warm embrace

To soothe your aching nerves

I wish you had a chance

To do all that you want

All the things I know

Right now that you cannot

I wish you could be free

Of curses, pain, and greif

I wish you could be free

Of suffering, however brief

I wish you could be free

Of the chaos you now need

I wish you could be free

In other words, of me.
