"All because the EU has no mechanism for self-correcting its legislative failures, even with years of evidence in the bag. The bureaucratic maze almost guarantees that all the noble intentions eventually find a dead end in which to get stuck" πŸ’―

They made the web unusable

Whenever someone complains, even rightfully, they should not squander the opportunity to propose solutions. What solutions does DHH propose?

to a cookie banner? - no cookie banner!

but may I ask for what are actually you looking for a solution?

For normies to have default decent privacy

how does a cookie banner solve that?

most people that I see just click annoyed the first button that I see, and even if they would not what privacy would this really give them?

It doesn’t. That’s not what I’m saying.

I don't. I take whatever time I need to meticulously and systematically deactivate all cookies, and all "Legitimate Interest" cookies. If anything, I very often cease to use a website if I can't do it (especially frequent with "Legitimate Interest", which many sites do not make available).

europe needs war

(i hope i can run away before it starts)

The banners work as intended: a constant reminder of the omnipresent state.
