Where will the Norwegian government draw the line between what datacenter activities are welcome and not welcome? If datacenters only get to use energy on stuff that is important to society, when will Tik Toks, cat videos, tv shows with a 5.0 or worse rating on IMDB, etc, be banned from Norwegian datacenters? nostr:note12mdgtwms8khf4d9lgvnxc8grsl76gh2nv2pqfvpzfzzu9qx9cwes0hl4l6

I used to run the seti@home in my datacentres.

That's how old I am πŸ˜‚

Never heard about that before!

Cool concept! When was this a thing?

It started in 1999, we stopped around 2002, but according to the website the project finished in 2020.

I guess they didn’t find anything in the end.

And that’s how you all found me πŸ˜‚πŸ‘½

It’s probably time I research more. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ«‚πŸ’œπŸ™πŸ‘½πŸ§¬

Just one thing to say about our Norwegian government, they are totally shitπŸ’© πŸ’©

The usual conundrum with central planning, Enlightened Despots and the abuse of what should be a simple method of dispute resolution (democracy) as a tool for adults to evade individual responsibility and be coddled babies forever in the best case and slaves in the most common one.
