Well, yeah. You should. And when you do, get some proper training. Pistols are the most convenient firearms, but the least accurate and hardest to learn to shoot well. A basic course at the outset will prevent you from forming bad habits that will hurt your skill development later.

I used to date some army freaks, so got some practice with pistols as well as rifles. But have no urge to drag it home. It's on our marital to do list for years now😑

Don't procrastinate. Rifle or shotgun for the home first, then pistol. Train.
